Senior Project
For my Senior project I organized a week of prayer in which churches from around my area would be able to use the material I provided a plan that could be used and modified according to their covid guidlines. I also created and organized a program that woud livestream on April 3rd 2021 to serve as a closing for the week of prayer. It included songs, activities, a craft and a story time. For this I took a college course titled Encountering Jesus to gain insight and write my program accordingly.
Each church that signed up promptly recieved goodie bags with the materials needed for the craft and activities as well as instruction manuals.
Through twists and several turns my original project was a bit different than its final outcome. I come from a Hispanic conference and due to the pandemic the connection with children shut down almost entirely and I wanted to do something about it. The passover and communion is an event not commonly explained to kids and it felt like the perfect opportunity. It is written mostly in spanish because it was sponsored by Hispanic Ministries at the Oregon Conference of SDA as well as the Children's ministries team.
Overall I'm extremely thankful to my conference and every one who helped me put my project on. In the end more than 90 hours were put in and well over 400 kids were able to participate in the celebration.
